GAME 2: ALL-AMERICAN ALL-WORLD CLASSIC
Blake Wiggins (Bradenton, Ark) banged out a pair of hits and got hit by a pitch to lead the U.S.A. stars past the World stars in a seesaw 7 to 4 victory at the 7th Annual Power Showcase in Miami.
6-6 Canadian RHP Dylan Brooks dominated the start of the game with his 90-91 mph fastball.
In the second inning, Logan Blackfan laced a 1-1 fastball for a double into the right center gap, scoring Buster to give Team USA a 1-0 lead over the World Team. Bellinger then tripled in 2 runners including Blackfan, for a 3-0 Team USA lead.
Manny Ramirez Jr (D.R./Florida), son of the former major leaguer, tripled in a run in the 4th. Then prospect Lewis Asuncion (D.R.) doubled with bases loaded to drive in a pair of runs as the World answered to make it 5-3 in the top of the 5th.
That’s when Wiggins came through with a clutch RBI single to provide cushion. Bobby Bradley (Mississippi) added a RBI sac fly to provide the final score.
