5th Annual POWER SHOWCASE Winner

Dennis Mitchell , a senior first baseman and out fielder from Phoenixville High School in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, won the “Spirit of Babe Ruth Award“. This award was presented to Dennis by the Babe′s granddaughter, Linda Ruth Tosetti at the POWER SHOWCASE welcome dinner, where Linda was a featured guest speaker. One look at Dennis Mitchell is all you need to imagine 450′+ bombs. And you’d be right! Dennis has been hitting jaw dropping HR’s since he was winning home run derby contests in Cooperstown as a little leaguer. Now he’s a young man and at 6’3/230 lbs he has the physique of the classic home run hitter. All summer long Dennis led his NorCal East team in many offensive categories, including a surprising team high batting average.

4th Annual POWER SHOWCASE Winner

Kris Bryant, a senior third baseman and right fielder from Bonanza High School in Reno, Nevada, won the first annual “Spirit of Babe Ruth Award“. This award was presented to Kris by the Babe′s granddaughter, Linda Ruth Tosetti at the POWER SHOWCASE welcome dinner, where Linda was a featured guest speaker. Kris maintains over a 4.0 GPA and is an AFLAC All American – All State –All Conference, Tournament of Stars State Home Run Leader, PG Best Hitting Prospect and an AFLAC Home Run Derby Finalist

Colossus of Clout Award

5th Annual POWER SHOWCASE Winner

Daniel vogelbach, a senior first baseman and left fielder from Bishop Verot H.S. in Fort Myers, Florida sent his best shot 508 Ft. to set a new International Record and win the Babe Ruth “Colossus of Clout Award” . Daniel is also the 5th Annual POWER SHOWCASE Home Run Derby WORLD CHAMPION.
Joey Curletta, a junior first and third baseman from Mountain Pointe H.S. in Phoenix, Arizona won the  Babe Ruth “Colossus of Clout Award” with his Longest Distance Home Run – 462 Ft.  Joey brings tremendous organization, athletic ability, intelligence, and sound moral character to a school and/or team. Joey is that athlete that coaches describe as, a “Freak”; he has great size, quickness, hands, and speed. All of these allow him to be a presence on the athletic field; however, his intelligence allows him to dominate that field.

4th Annual POWER SHOWCASE Winner

Travis Harrison, a junior third baseman from Tustin High School in Tustin, California sent his best shot 504 feet and won the award Babe Ruth ″Colossus of Clout Award″ plus set a new POWER SHOWCASE Record – the longest home run ever hit at Tropicana Field! Travis was presented with the Colossus of Clout a 54 oz. bat that is the weight that Babe Ruth used in game play from 1916 to 1922. Travis is a 2009 WWBA MVP, 2009 PG National Champion MVP and First Team All CIF.

3rd Annual POWER SHOWCASE Winner

Bryce Harper who attended Las Vegas High School in Las Vegas, Nevada won the Third Annual POWER SHOWCASE Babe Ruth ″Colossus of Clout Award″. Bryce, a sophomore at the time, hit a 502 foot home run at The Trop — the longest home run ever hit at Tropicana Field before Travis Harrison’s mammoth blast in January 2010. Bryce, a catcher for The College of Southern Nevada, was the first overall first pick in the 2010 Major League Draft. Bryce and his 502 foot home run have been featured in numerous publications including, Sports Illustrated,Baseball America and ESPN.
