Craig Stoves spent 11 years scouting in the international operations area covering mostly Australia. Craig spent 7 years scouting internationally with the Montreal Expos organization before taking on the same role with the Florida Marlins organization for a 4 year period.
Following his scouting role Craig entered into player representation and management, where he exclusively represented Australian baseball players. During this 3 year period of player representation Craig negotiated contracts and in turn assisted 8 Australians in signing professional baseball contracts.
Craig also spent parts of 12 years as a baseball coach at Playball Baseball Academy focusing on all aspects of player development & instruction. During his time at Playball, Craig for 2 consecutive years was in charge of on-field instruction at 1 week long Playball Europe baseball development camps based in Holland and Germany. Craig was at the helm of Playball for a short stint in 2006 - 2007 at which time he guided the Academy team to the league championship.
For a 3 year period, Craig was a valued and respected member of the coaching staff at the New South Wales State Elite Baseball Development Program based in Sydney, Australia. Craig’s role in this elite baseball program for Australian based players aged 18 & under had him coaching infield and hitting. During this period Craig was also an assistant coach for the New South Wales 18 & under state team that competed in the Australian Baseball Championships. This team was crowned Australian Champions.
Craig’s diverse baseball and business skills afforded him recently the opportunity to manage and instruct baseball at an indoor baseball centre in Sydney, Australia.
Craig played baseball for 21 years primarily as a short stop where he saw action playing both in Australia and the USA.
Craig has travelled back and forth from Australia to the USA since the early 1990’s. A native of Australia, currently Craig is situated in Fort Lauderdale. On a casual basis Craig has assisted with the baseball program at Nova University. Though as of now, Craig under his own direction, is mostly involved in personal and group baseball instruction & development workouts.
