Over the past 4 years I have had the pleasure of getting to know David Leiderman as a player and a person. Of the thousands of kids I have coached throughout the years, very few have displayed the level of work ethic and desire to make themselves a better baseball player than David has shown. He has transformed himself into a legitimate division I prospect. David was a key member of this summer’s 2012 Storm Academy Showcase team, which spent the summer and fall competing in the nations best tournaments. David was among the teammate leaders in most offensive and defensive categories. Defensively he has above average hands and arm strength from second base. Offensively he is your proto typical two hitter. He has excellent knowledge of the strike zone, drives the ball the other way and is able to bunt to both sides of the field. Physically David has a wiry 6’1 frame and with a ton of upside, he has fluid loose arm action and as he grows into his body has become quicker and faster. The best part about David is his desire; he understands that you have to put in the time and effort to make it at the next level. There is not a day that goes by where he is not trying to do something to better himself as an athlete and a student. David’s best days are in front of him as his physical attributes continue to catch up to his work ethic and desire, he will continue to grow and improve as a baseball player making him a strong candidate to be successful at the collegiate level. –SHAUN MANNING – DIRECTOR OF TRAVEL PROGRAM – STORM BASEBALL ACADEMY
