SCOUTING REPORTS

Tyler Votroubek is a 2013 1B/RHP, OF with a 6-5 212 lb. frame from Ely, IA who attends Prairie H.S. Young XL bodied athlete who can already hit at a high level. Posses good physical strength and 6′ 5″ 212 lb projects for more.
Showed good power to the gaps thanks to good bat speed and extension. Showed good Outfield actions and solid athleticism.
Very high upside, interesting prospect to follow. Good student.

Tyler batted .400 and played in all of our games during the season. He was our number 4 hitter almost exclusively during that time. He has a lively bat with line drives exploding off of it. He shows raw power that should continue to develop in his remaining three years in high school. He has power to all fields but particularly noticeable at his age is his ability to take the outside pitch to the opposite field with authority. He showed an ability to hit in the clutch when the pressure was on, many times in the late innings. He has above average running speed on the bases and in the outfield.
He has above average intelligence and a very good knowledge of the game. He shows maturity beyond his age and has a willingness to learn. He is very coachable. As a teammate he shows excellent emotional intelligence. He copes well with frustration and disappointment on the field. He shows leadership qualities on and off the field and is well liked by his teammates. As only a freshman in high school he showed the potential to become an excellent ballplayer and a very scary hitter for even the best pitchers to face in the future. – Coach Kerry Mann
