12:00pm to 9:00pm– Player’s will receive uniform and pick/choose their POWER SHOWCASE Home Run Derby batting order.

SUNDAY, December 28th
 – 8:30am to 10:00pm – MLB Scout Day & Welcome Dinner 

8:30am  Player Check-in – Diamond Club Entrance – FEATURED players will be escorted by their coaches (Alejando Machado & Doug Jennings) to the Marlins Media Room for Mental Strength Training with Michael Cooper.

8:45am – 9:30am – All FEATURED Players – Mental Strength Training Session with Michael Cooper – Marlins Media Room (Parents are strongly encouraged to attend)

9:45am – 10:15am – TEAM MEETING – All-American West – Head Coach Alejandro Machado – Location – Visitors Clubhouse.

9:45am – 10:15am – TEAM MEETING – All-American East – Head Coach Doug Jennings – Location – Diamond Club Dinning Lounge 

10:30am to 11:30pm – Lunch/Snack – There’s a Wendy’s and Subway across the street – Have your parents bring it to you and eat in the dugout.

Scout Day Begins 11:45am!

11:45am – 12:00pm – MLB Scout Day – Speech & Intro

12:00pm – 2:30pm – Batting Practice – NOTICE:  No Cleats in batting cage – Turfs Only!

12:30pm – Pitchers throw bullpens

2:30pm – 4:30/5:00pm Defense  

7:00pm to 10:30pm– Welcome Dinner Marlins Park

TUESDAY, December 30th – POWER SHOWCASE Home Run Derby. (77 – Participants)

High School – DO NOT BE LATE!!!
During the preliminary round each participant will receive a total of 20 outs = 5 with wood & 15 with metal (open bat format  – BESR Bats Allowed). The pitching machine will be set at a velocity of 65/70 mph from a distance of 55 feet. The top three finalists from each age group will advance to the Championship Round on Friday, January 2nd. All high school players will be announced and hit together – left-handed batters will compete last. 


7:15am to 7:30am – Player Check-in Diamond Club Entrance with Coach Jerry Gonzalez. Players will be escorted to the THIRD base dugout.

7:30am to 7:45am – Batting Order – Coach Eddie Gonzalez will announce and review players batting order.  (Player’s will be reminded they can warm-up in the visitors club house batting cage.)

7:45am to 8:15am – MANDATORY Group Photo – Ralph Notaro

8:15am to 8:55am – Player Introductions – Underclassmen Announced First – first base line
PLEASE NOTE: Underclassmen will hit first followed by the 2015 Graduates.
Left Handed Batters in each group will hit last

8:55am to 9:00am – National Anthem performed by Stephany Canizares

9:00am to 9:15am – First three players will get loose in the cage with Coach Jerry Gonzalez 

9:15am – POWER SHOWCASE Begins – Right-handed batters will go first.

12:00pm to 12:05pm – National Anthem Performed by Ashley Briggs 

12:15pm – POWER SHOWCASE Finals begin


POWER SHOWCASE All-American Game (9-innings) 

Game Time may begin slightly earlier then scheduled with conclusion of the finals.

12:00pm – Players Check-in to your assigned dugout with your coaches and watch the finals.
