Kyle has partnered with Shaun & Epilepsy Durham Region
for Home Runs that Help

READ LOCAL MEDIA

I  have partnered with Epilepsy  Durham Region in support of my sister, Shaun.  After witnessing her seizures and the difficulties with recovery it made sense to show my support.  My sister was first diagnosed when she was 13 years old, and has been struggling with many associated elements ever since. We were directed to the Epilepsy Durham Region society to help understand and educate ourselves about support.  My sisters medication costs hundreds of dollars a month.  My family has a drug plan through work, but many people do not.  Epilepsy Durham Region helps people find medication when there is any supply disruptions. They have resources throughout Canada to ensure people are never without their anti seisure medicine should there be a shortage. They also help break the silence, ending stigma and ensure those suffering never feel alone through support.  I feel by supporting this worthy cause, it will raise awareness and get people talking.  What my sister is going through isn’t fair. Like a seizure I can’t stop it from happening, but I can do what I can to support them. My message to my sister and those suffering from epilepsy is you are not alone. I love you Shaun.
