Joseph Guzman is nationally recognized coach and mentor to many players at many different levels. Joseph Guzman is a local product of Sagemont Upper School in Weston where he was a 3 year varsity letter recipient and 2-Time MVP award winner. His senior year he batted .480 with 2 home runs and 20 rbis. He also struck out 40 batters on the mound in just 35 innings. Out of high school, he attended NAIA powerhouse, Tennessee Wesleyan College. After the conclusion of his freshman season, he transferred to Northwood University in West Palm Beach due to a family illness. Following his Sophomore season, he participated in the Dominican Summer League Extended Spring Training for the KC Royals (2012). He decided to come back after that summer and finish his degree at Florida Memorial University where he was selected for TSC Preseason All Star Game 2013. After the conclusion of his Junior year he was in the top 15 in 6 different offensive categories. He was scouted by the Royals, Angels, Giants and Cardinals. He went undrafted his Junior year after finishing with a 330 Batting Average. Before his senior season he had a life changing event that caused him to miss the whole fall. He was forced to have surgery to remove a cyst underneath his brain. At this point he realized he would become a mentor and coach to help players achieve their goals. This life changing event inspired him to pursue different goals and teach players about life after baseball.
