I have been fortunate enough to coach Tucker Pate this past season and look forward to the upcoming season with him as well. Tucker is an outstanding baseball player and an even better young man. Tucker plays the game the right way all the time. Never does one have to question Tucker’s passion for the game. It is evident in his play. Tucker produces raw power that enables him to drive the baseball to all fields. Along with his power, Tucker has some of the quickest hands I have ever seen for a young man of his age. Tucker has developed, already, into a plus defender not only behind the plate but also at third base. Tucker posses smooth hands defensively and has an absolute cannon for an arm. Not only does Tucker produce in the field and in the batter’s box, we also anticipate using him on the mound quite a bit as well. I thoroughly look forward to seeing what he can do for our team this upcoming season. I am extremely excited Tucker has been given the outstanding opportunity to compete against some of the nation’s best this January in Miami. I also congratulate Tucker on his nomination to represent the state of Tennessee during this event. Best of luck to him and the rest of the young men participating in this fantastic showcase.
