Braxton Ipson is one of the most mentally polished kids I’ve ever coached. At 16 he was more mentally ready to play at the next level than most kids coming out of college. He’s very coachable and very even keel.Braxton stands at 6’4 and is 215 pounds, by frame alone, the kids ceiling is very high.He plays 3 sports and is very athletic, he has great footwork on the corners and very soft hands. Great swing from the left side of the plate and a very good approach. On the mound he has a good downward plane to his fastball and a next level split. Curve breaks a little early and will have to throw it harder or move to a slider at the next level.Between Braxton’s work ethic and athletic frame, any college will be happy to have him. I am not sure where my projections are for him yet, because he is great on both sides of the ball.Braxton caught the eye of many big Juco’s and a lot of big D-1’s this summer, and is one of the better talents to come out of the 2014 class.I would stamp my name on a kid like Braxton any day to be an asset to any program he goes to.Tycen PoVey, Professional Hitting/Pitching Instructor

UT-IPSON-FOOTBALL-HRH-PROFILE Braxton has partnered with Kay Bundy and the Alzheimer’s Association for Home Runs that HelpIn September of this year Braxton lost his maternal grandfather to Alzheimer’s.   He was able to see the effects for both the victim and those that are left behind.   His grandfather was a young 77 years old, and was an old cowboy at heart.   Even with the disease taking a bitter toll on his faculties he was still able to fight to the bitter end.   Braxton has dedicated and partnered his association with Home Runs That Help to some of those who have touched the lives of his family in the care and love shown during those final difficult months.    He will be raising money and donating the proceeds from two events to the Alzheimer’s Association through alz.org in the name of Kay & Norma Bundy in hopes of finding a cure for Alzheimer’s.

Braxton will be selling Power Showcase hat pins at two local stores with all proceeds being donated to alz.org.   As well as he will participate in a gas to remember event where two local convenience stores will be donating 10 cents a gallon for all petroleum product purchased that day to alz.org in the name of Kay & Norma Bundy.
