It has been an honor and privilege to coach Evan Skoug four years to date. He is a young man with a great internal motor whose work ethic is second to none. Evan is a fierce competitor who plays the game with unbridled passion; he truly makes those around him better on a daily basis.  Evan has a great skill set for the game; an explosive bat, live arm and excellent hands and feet enable him to be the dynamic/athletic player he is.   A throwback player in the contemporary game: very few are like Evan Skoug. He is the best player I’ve coached in 23 years.-Coach Jim Schurr – Libertyville High School

IL - Evan Skoug with Kate Mitchell for Home Runs that help

Kate and Evan raised a total of $8214 to help find a treatment for nemaline myopathy.

Thanks for providing Evan the opportunity to participate.  It was a great way for him to see how he can use his God given talents to give back to the community.  Kate is quite an inspiration and without this event we probably wouldn’t have met such a wonderful child and her family.  In addition to raising money for a great cause, we picked up another Wildcat baseball fan!
