My name is Jimmy Kuebler and I have had the pleasure of coaching Desmond Lindsay since he was about 8 years old. Since Desmond was 8, I knew he was destined for great things in the baseball realm. Desmond has what most people can only refer to as “THE IT FACTOR”.  He is one of the few kids that, if I turned around and just listened to kids hit, I would be able to pick him out just by the sound of the bat. If you know baseball you know what I’m talking about. He has a great swing that you just can’t teach. Pure power with the quickest hands I have ever seen. You would never know Desmond is one of the top 2015 recruits if you just started talking to him. This may be his best attribute of all. He accepts his abilities with class and dignity. He is humbled by all the recognition he has recently received while at the same time maintaining academic honors in the classroom. I am honored to be a part of his progress and know this is just the beginning of greatness for Desmond. Coach Jim Kuebler, Out-of-Door Academy
Desmond is, without question, one of the top power hitter’s currently playing high school baseball in the state of Florida. Having coached high school and college baseball for the past 36 years I have only seen a handful of players who could match his ability to hit a baseball with power. The last player I coached with his bat speed and power was Mark Rogers, MLB Brewers, who was the 5th pick in the 2004 draft in the 1st round. Desmond has that type of ability and you will not be disappointed. This young man is trustworthy, respectful of others and truly conducts himself in a responsible manner and is a caring citizen of his school. The Out-Of-Door Academy is very proud of him and what he stands for. I believe Desmond has the mental and moral qualities distinctive to an individual with great character. I believe character is how you treat others who can do nothing for you and Desmond has that going for him. I believe he makes his school and community a better place because of his community involvement, his great leadership ability and his respect for authority.Desmond is honest, deals peacefully with anger, insults and disagreements. He does what he is supposed to do when he is supposed to do it, whether he likes it or not. He has a great work ethic and will represent himself and our great baseball state of Florida with pride. He has great self-control, sets good examples and is fair and open minded. In closing I would like to highly recommend Desmond to this committee for selection. I am sure you consider him an outstanding candidate for your Power Show Case.Mike Verrill, Assistant AD/Head Baseball Coach
