The Ontario Blue Jays are comprised, in large part, of the top Canadian High School aged players and Lucas certainly fits that category. Not only is he a member of our organization, but Lucas is also on Team Canada’s Junior National Team. Lucas is a strong, physical catcher. His tools project very well across the board. Offensively, Lucas has the ability to drive the ball to all fields and generates loft power gap to gap. Lucas balances his strength with a very good, disciplined approach at the plate. Lucas is a plus “catch and throw guy”.   He is a very quiet receiver with good hands and excellent footwork for a big player. He exhibits very good arm strength and an accurate arm in games. Beyond Lucas’ physical abilities are his intangible qualities both on and off the field which are second to none for a person of his age. His work ethic on the field, in the classroom and in the weight room is exceptional.   His has a quiet confidence about him and has exhibited the ability to lead by example.  He has worked extremely hard to become a key part of our organization and I am confident he will continue to be a key contributor as he climbs the ladder in his baseball career. – Dan Bleiwas Head Coach/Director of Baseball Operations
