I have known Chance for a couple years, and last year had the privilege of coaching him.  I use to see Chance at the Batting cages and could see that he loved the game and was talented.  Last year when he joined my team I saw the potential of him becoming a pitcher; he was reluctant at first, but still made a real effort, and very quickly started enjoying it.Unfortunately  last year our team had some injuries, it was nice to have a player like Chance that was willing to help out where he could, outfield, short stop, pitching Chance worked well and encouraged some of the younger players on the team. Although I have not had interaction with him off the field I find him to be respectful , hardworking individual.               Carlton James Head Coach  Ontario Cardinals

 CANADA CHANCE NANCOO
CANADA CHANCE NANCOO Chance has partnered with Kate & Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital for Home Runs that Help

Seventeen year old Kate loves catching up on her favourite shows, shopping, basketball and all things pink. She lives on a farm with her family outside of Toronto. This year, Kate was in a car accident which resulted in a traumatic brain injury. She will be living at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital for a number of months to receive intensive therapy every day. Kate has been making great gains improving her memory, developing new communication skills and relearning to walk. She has multiple therapy sessions a day and also participates in recreation, swim and art programs. The hospital also has a hotel unit so Kate’s family can stay close to her side throughout her time there.

Holland Bloorview is Canada’s largest kids rehabilitation hospital. The hospital pioneers treatments, technologies, therapies and real-world programs that give children with disabilities, like Kate, the tools to participate fully in life.

Chance had the opportunity to visit Kate at Holland Bloorview and see first-hand the many services and therapies she will receive during her stay. Chance is excited to fundraise for the hospital to help Kate and other kids like her get the services they need.
