ar bartlett Bryce has partnered with John Braden Mayes for Home Runs that Help

I am honored to be selected to represent AR in the 2012 Power Showcase Event.  As a student at Pulaski Academy I have been volunteering for The Miracle League; this organization provides the opportunity for kids with physical challenges to be able to play baseball. Many of these children are unable to live an independent life and their illnesses receive a tremendous amount attention as well they should.

Even though Autism may not have the physical attributes of other illnesses its effects are severe in their own right. It is with this thought in mind that I am very proud to have John Braden Mayes as my little buddy for Home Runs that Help.

Braden is an 8 yr. old who was diagnosed with Autism at age 4. He attends All Children Academy in Little Rock, AR. Braden’s sensory disorder makes it difficult for him to do most of the things that we take for granted; going to ball games and being in crowds of people, etc.  Because of his illness Braden is not able to play baseball. His parents put Braden on a team but it was too much for him to handle. It is amazing how much personality he has if you are able to be in a quiet, calm setting with him. I wish everyone could see what an amazing child Braden really is.

I am fortunate to be blessed with the abilities to play baseball at this level and I am committed to continue to help those who are not able to. My play during the 2012 Power Showcase is dedicated to my little buddy Braden.
