Javi Miranda joined the coaching staff in 2015 as the Hawk’s Outfield and Base running coach. Prior to joining the Hawks, he spent 4 years coaching High School Baseball in Hillsborough County. He spent 2 years at East Bay High School and most recent at Riverview High School.

Javi started his baseball career in Miami, FL at Westminster Christian School where he made All County and All State teams. He was part of 3 State Championships and 1 National Championship. In 1996, his team went 36-0 and was the #1 team in the Nation.

After graduating from high school, he attended Indian River Community College from 1997-1998. He completed his college career at St. Thomas University in Miami, Fl. Javi graduated from Barry University with a Bachelor in Science in Information Technology.

Javi Miranda currently resides in Riverview with his wife Kelley and 3 sons: Trey, Talan and Ty.
