Schedule & Format – 15U Babe Ruth Classic
The event will be Steamed/Broadcast LIVE on the Home page each and every day.
Tuesday, December 26th 
2:00pm to 9:00pm Player Check-in Hilton Hotel – Downtown Miami  – 1601 Biscayne Blvd. 
PLAYER CHECK-IN – Hilton Hotel – Downtown Miami – 1601 Biscayne Blvd
The Hilton charges a parking fee. 
Park across the street at Burger King/ Checkers or
1 block away is a Publix grocery store – park in that lot or the rooftop parking.
2:00pm to 9:00pm Player Check-in Hilton Hotel – Downtown Miami – 1601 Biscayne Blvd.

Players will receive their uniform and pick/choose their POWER SHOWCASE Home Run Derby batting order.
LATE ARRIVAL – For players that arrive after 9:00pm – your number will be picked and your uniform will be placed in your bag and will be waiting for you on Wednesday morning in the First Base Dugout.

Also, parents and coaches, I strongly suggest a group text for communication and a daily meeting spot for player check-in. 
Admission – There is NO fee to enter the Marlins park
Food – Concessions will be closed – Coolers Food/Drinks are allowed – No Alcohol! There is a Subway & Wendy’s within walking distance.
Entrance – 7:30am – Players/Parents will enter through the Diamond Club Entrance morning/day.
Wednesday, December 27th
10:30am to 1:30pm – MLB Scout Day, Mental Strength Session & Welcome Dinner 7:00pm to 10:00pm
Player’s will check-in with their Head Coach’s (American Head Coach Craig Stoves and National Head Coach Flaco Otero) at the Diamond Club Entrance 10 minutes before your scheduled Scout Day time of 10:45am.  There will be visible signs and Marlins staff to help guide you to your designated current and future locations.
PLEASE keep in mind that there are groups going through their MLB Scout Day before you. Be patient as they finish up and be ready to go immediately when they are done.
10:30am – Player Check-in with your coach’s in the third base dugout – wait patiently until you are brought on the field for your Scout Day.
11:00am to 12:15pm Scout Speech Intro – Pittsburg Pirates Nick Presto and Scout Day
12:30pm to 1:30pm
(Both Teams) Mental Strength Session with Michael Cooper (Mandatory for ALL parents & Players)

7:00pm to 10:00pm – Welcome Dinner – Location Marlins Park
Thursday, December 28th Mental Strength Session and Shagging for College & High School Home Run Derby.
The Preliminary Round for the College Select & High School POWER SHOWCASE will begin at roughly 12:00pm. The starting time may fluctuate because of the younger age group taking place beforehand.
Mental Strength Session with Michael Cooper at 2:00pm.  Location: Marlins Media Room – Parents are 100% encouraged to attend.
1:45pm – Player/Team check-in – Diamond Club Entrance. Players & Parents will be escorted to the Marlins Media Room.
2:00pm to 3:00pm – 2nd Mental Strength Session with Michael Cooper – Marlins Media Room
3:00pm to 3:30pm – Special Guest Tommy Lane
3:45pm to 6:15pm – Shagging is Mandatory! Coach’s, you will be on the field as well.
Friday, December 29th – Home Run Derby & Game
12:00pm to 4:00pm & GAME 8:00pm to 11:00pm.
FYI – Please keep in mind that the starting time of the Derby competition might vary slightly depending on the performance of the earlier group.
It’s going to be a long, but an extremely exciting competition. 
During the preliminary round, each participant will receive 15 outs.
The Field Dimension will be 310ft-375ft-310ft.
The pitching machine will be set at a velocity of 62/65 mph from a distance of 54 feet.
The top two finalists and possible Wild Card will advance to the Championship Round on December 30th and compete for the World Title.
*WILDCARDIf a player hits the furthest Home Run and does not finish in the top two, he will also advance to the finals on December 30th. The Finals will begin at roughly 2:00pm to 5:00pm. Finalists will check-in with Jerry Gonzalez in the Visitors Clubhouse at 1:30pm.

Players will check-in with Coach Jerry Gonzalez in the third base dugout at 11:30am. Once everyone has been checked-in – Player’s will head to the outfield to shagg until the 12 Rookies Home Run Derby concludes.


Introductions/National Anthem – Simply do to time constraints, we will not have individual introductions. There are 33 (15U) participants. Batters 1 through 17 will line-up along the first base line and remaining 16 along the third base line.


Probable start time 15U BABE RUTH HOME RUN DERBY – 12:00pm – 4:00pm 

12:00pm – National Anthem performed by Laura Granello 


15U Babe Ruth Classic GAME – 7:45pm to 11:00pm
Public Address Announcer – Rick Walega 
Coaches, kindly have your (three) line-up cards filled out and ready to be handed in one hour before your scheduled game time.  There is a three-run max per-inning. Teams will simply switch.  Players will be rotated every inning, for fair and equal playing time.
Again, the starting time of the Babe Ruth Classic will depend on the completion of the 14U Home Run Derby. The game will begin exactly 30 minutes after.

7:15pm to 7:30pm
Players get lose – Pitchers head to the bullpen with your coach and catcher
7:30pm to 7:40pm – Line-up for the National Anthem
7:40pm-7:45pm – National Anthem performed by Mahnaz Carroll
7:45pm-7:50pm – Projected starting time – First Pitch
