Joel Pineiro




 After pitching collegiately in Fort Myers, FL at Edison Community College (now Florida Southwestern State College), Joel Pineiro was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 12th round of the 1997 MLB Draft. After only three years in the Minor Leagues, he made his MLB debut in 2000 with the Mariners.  Joel went on to have a successful 12-year Major League career with additional stops in Boston, St. Louis and Los Angeles (Angels).

In all, Joel appeared in 335 Major League games and pitched more than 1,700 MLB innings. He is one of only four Puerto Rican pitchers with 100+ MLB Wins.

Joel officially retired from professional baseball at the conclusion of the 2017 World Baseball Classic, where he was a player/coach for Puerto Rico during the tournament.

He has continued his coaching career as a volunteer coach at Westminster Christian School in Palmetto Bay, FL.
