“Lex Boedicker possesses every skill necessary to dominate any 12U baseball game.  His greatness lies in doing EVERYTHING predictably well.  And the consistency at which he performs makes it easy to take him for granted.”  –  Head Coach Matt Woolf

“It just sounds different when Lex hits it.”  –  Teammate Jake Woolf

“When it comes to attitude and effort, there is nobody better to play with.”  –  Teammate Jon Bruder

“There are a lot of talented kids out there, but you won’t find anyone who works harder to be truly great than Lex.”  –  Assistant Coach Matt Bruder

“I was lucky enough to work with Lex on his swing throughout last Winter. From the very beginning it was obvious Lex had a bright future. He has a unique combination of strength/athleticism you don’t see everyday. I’m very happy to hear about his success and the opportunities he’s earned. I look forward to following Lex and see where this game takes him. He’s a great player and even a better kid.”

–  Wright State University Assistant Coach Jordan Chiero

Lex has partnered with Kate Benroth and Batten Disease

for Home Runs that Help.

On September 9, 2006 Kate was born and our family was complete.  She was perfect in every way and was health.  For three years she met all of her milestones, walking, talking, learning her letters, colors, etc.  Kate was the perfect combination of sweet and sassy.  She played by her rules; authority meant nothing to her.  She knew how to use her smile and sense of humor to get her out of trouble.  On December 29, 2009 Kate had her first seizure. Over the next six months Kate was subject to many tests and doctor appointments to try and figure out why she was having seizures, was losing the ability to walk, talk, etc.  On June 22, 2010 we received the diagnosis.  Batten Disease, more specifically Late Infantile Batten Disease (NCL2).   Over time, affected children suffer mental impairment, worsening seizures, and progressive loss of sight and motor skills. Eventually, children with Batten Disease/NCL become blind, bedridden, and unable to communicate and it is presently always fatal. Batten Disease is not contagious or, at this time, preventable.  Kate is expected to live to be 8-12 years old and she is currently 9.
