Drake is very athletic, with quick hands at the plate, quality eye-hand coordination, very knowledgeable offensively and defensively, for he knows who he is at this age; a consistent worker and truly understands one must be married into ‘The Process’ of Development and not solely into the Wins and Losses of competition.

Drake is consistent with his investment to improve while displaying high respect towards the game.

It’s very difficult to project kids at the beginning of their teenage years, but observing him for quiet sometime now, I feel confident to say his passion is at the bar where athletes need to be with dedication and work ethic.

Drake’s future is bright and his support group understands what patience it takes to get to where he is heading as he grows stronger, gets more explosive, and progresses.

Drake is a player I always look forward to training each week, for he is in a group of the top 3 baseball players within his age bracket from Southeast, Texas.

I have trained Drake since he was 6 years old. Drake is one of the hardest working kids I have ever coached. He is one of the best catchers at 13 in the state of Texas. He is very athletic, and has a plus strong arm. I look for great things in the future from Drake.

I have had the honor and privilege to coach Drake this last year and He has turned into a very good player. He has very good bat speed and can hit the ball to all fields. He is also a pitcher and has velocity that tops out at 76-77 and lives at 72-73.  In my professional opinion, Drake has the tools and ability to become a highly recruited catcher. He has really good actions as a catcher with an accurate and PLUS arm. His
throws have really good carry and has a PLUS arm from behind the plate. He is not only a great baseball player but more importantly he is a wonderful and respectful young man. Roberto DeLeon / Professional Instructor Banditos Baseball Club

Drake has partnered with Kyle Huckaby for Home Runs that Help

Kyle Huckaby was born in 1995 in Nederland TX with Spina-Bifida. This defect left him paralyzed form the waist down, and was constrained to a wheelchair for the ability to maneuver in life. Many people in this situation just concede to being handicap and live life to the restraints of such. Kyle’s passion for sports pushed him and enabled his drive to be a successful athlete despite his handicap. Kyle’s play began with Hockey at 9 yrs old. No wonder, with his dad, Keith Huckaby a former USA Roller Hockey Olympian and his mother, Theresa Huckaby a former USA Woman’s Team Roller Hockey member. He himself played for the Texas Sled Hockey Team at the 2012 and 2013 USA Hockey Disabled Hockey Festivals in 2015 was a member of the US National Sled Hockey Team in which they took the gold in the international event. Other notable honors for hockey include Two-time US National Developmental Sled Hockey Team member and a Three-time USA Hockey Player Development Camp Attendee. With this success in the hockey arena, Kyle decided Wheel chair Basketball was his next goal. Joining his first team, the TIRR Memorial Hot Wheels Basketball Team out of Houston, he identified this was the sported he loved. After winning the NWBA Junior National Championship in Kentucky, Kyle continued his hard work obtaining the opportunity to play at the University of Texas, Arlington after graduation high school. At college Kyle is majoring in Journalism. My guess is we will see and hear Kyle one day in some sort of sports related media.Drake and Kyle have known each other for many years and often sharing the week and weekend sports events and outcomes they have both had that week. Drake admires Kyle tremendously for his desire to succeed in sports with his handicap. Drake’s  motivation to get up and do the extra work each and every day even when he does not feel like it, seeing the extra effort Kyle has done to obtain the success that he has with his disability.

Drake hopes to raise money with Home Runs and donate it back to an organization that does research for Spina-Bifida.
