Heath Mann is the kind of kid and player that coaches love to have on their team.  Heath can play almost every position on the field but his primary positions have been P/SS/C. He is a tireless worker who consistently puts in extra work and has developed tremendous gap power driving in 42 runs to go with 16 extra base hits and 18 stolen bases during the Spring/Summer season.  On the mound, Heath went 9-2 while striking out more than a batter per inning across 18 games and 60 innings.  Above and beyond his accomplishments, Heath is a good teammate and represents himself and his team well both on and off the field.

“I chose this organization because if helps children find families. I was adopted and I have a wonderful family. I think every child deserves a wonderful family.”  Heath Mann

Children often wait three years or more to be adopted, move three or more times in foster care and often are separated from siblings. The average age of waiting children is 8 years old. Last year, 29,471 children turned 18 and left the foster care system without an adoptive family.
Courtesy Dave Thomas FoundationMercy for America’s Children is a North Carolina based non-profit group advocating on behalf of children awaiting adoption in the US Foster Care System by educating the public about the benefits of foster care adoption, reforming the adoption process, connecting waiting children to potential adoptive families and supporting them through their adoption journey.MAC relies on the generosity of our volunteers, donors, sponsors and community partners to help us fulfill our mission of supporting foster care families and children.
