Facilities, Equipment, General Admission and Registration

6 Walkie-talkies.

    • 3 to 4 adults need to be in home run territory to accurately mark and communicate the furthest home run hit by each participant to the results desk/announcer.

  • Distance markers. To record the distance of the home runs, marks/stakes should extend outward every 10 ft. and follow the radius of the outfield, left, left center, center, right center, and right.

  • Jugs Pitching Machines.

    • Minimum 3 pitching machines on site.

      • Set 50 ft. away - speed of 60-65 mph.

    • Batting cage/warm-up station with a 2nd pitching machine. Adult supervision is required.

    • Same speed and distance for all machines.

    • 3rd machine is a backup.

    • No players are to feed the machines.

  • Official Baseball of NTL Power Showcase. To be announced.

    • 12 DZ Baseballs.

  • Check-in table/ Player Warm up. All players are to check-in 1-hour prior to hitting. A random drawing (prior to the event) will decide what time the prospect will hit, unless deemed otherwise by event organizers.

  • Group Photo. A group photo will be taken on Day 1 at 3:00 PM.
    (Players must be in their powershowcase t-shirt for group photo and when hitting) Players must be wearing baseball pants, belt, socks and Power Showcase Inc. T-shirt.

  • Outfielders only for shagging baseballs - no players are to be in the infield.

  • Host school must have a person certified in First Aid and CPR onsite.

  • Please email the following information within 24 hours:

    State series champion photo's & final results

    Two (2) Individual photos of each of the (70) prospects during the preliminary round must be taken. (One mug shot and one action shot.)

    Additionally, each state champion in his Power Showcase (national) uniform jersey must be taken, and e-mailed within 24 hours so it can be posted on that state's webpage.

  • General Admission

    • $5 for adults and $3 for students/children for each day.
    • Attendance numbers will be posted on your state website.
    • Host school will receive 100% of concession sales.
    • Host school will receive 100% of general admission.

  • Player Registration

  • Once registered, player's name's will be listed on each state's individual page. Viewed nationally, the pages are used as a reference for local and state media, college coaches and pro-scouts.

    Final results will be posted on each state's individual page.

 
SCHEDULE

  • The Power Showcase is a two-day event
  • Day One
    • Check-in begins at 9:00 AM.
    • The Power Showcase begins at 10:00 AM.
    • Player’s check-in 1 hour before their scheduled hitting time. Check the state’s website at www.powershowcase.us for player’s scheduled hitting time.
  • Day Two - Positional Showcase, Second and Championship Round.
    • Check-in begins at 1:00 PM.
    • 60 Yard Dash.
    • 2:00 to 2:30 PM players stretch.
    • 2:30 to 3:30 PM players run and timed.
  • Extended Infield/Outfield Session immediately following 60 yard dash.
     

    Group 1 (35 Players)
    • 3:30 to 4:00 PM stretch and get arms loose.
    • 4:00 to 5:00 PM extended infield outfield.

      Group 2 (35 Players)
    • 4:30 to 5:00 PM stretch and get arms loose.
    • 5:00 to 6:00 PM extended infield outfield.
    • Dinner begins at 6:00 PM.
    • Autograph Session & Field Preparation — 7:00 to 8:00 PM.

    • Championship round begins at 8:00 PM.

ADDITIONAL:

  • Contact all:
    • Local and state media.
      • Local and state newspapers.
      • Radio stations and local sports talk shows.
      • News and television. Many communities have cable sports programs that could televise your event for free.
    • Local and state colleges.
    • Professional baseball scouts.
    • Local and state Little Leagues (day 2 autograph session).
  • Programs with player profile are recommended for further fundraising dollars.
  • Contact the 70 rising (student-athletes) who would benefit the most from this exposure.
  • Hire Professional Photographer to take photo’s of the players.
  • Find sponsors for:
    • Plaques to the winners of the 5 categories (Quality Plaques).
      1. 2006 Power Showcase State Champion.
      2. Longest distance of a home run.
      3. Most consecutive home runs.
      4. Overall home run total.
      5. Most home runs in a single round.
    • Baseballs.
    • T-shirts (Black) Logo will be sent to sponsor.
    • Power Showcase logo on front, sponsors name on the back.
    • Volunteers and event organizers.
    • Food – local restaurants to cater.
Prior to your event, 3-5 digital photos of your field can be put on your state website.
You must provide the photos and they should be in a “jpg” format.
