I have had the opportunity to coach Jeremy Martinez at Mater Dei High School for the past two years. Jeremy has exhibited great leadership both on and off the field. Off the field, Jeremy works hard in the classroom. He is well liked by his peers and teammates and is a great example and role model to them. He has a friendly personality that people gravitate to and he leads by his enthusiasm and hard work. I have seen Jeremy give his time as a community service volunteer and serves with the same enthusiasm and hard work that he exhibits in the classroom and on the field. On the field his presence is admired and respected. He came on the varsity team as the only freshmen and immediately won the respect of his teammates with his hard work ethic and his very personable attitude. Jeremy is a very talented young man and is very competitive and works hard for his success, but he never forgets how fortunate he is and loves to share his love for the game with his teammates. – Burt Call, Mater Dei High School Baseball Coach
