“I have coached Matt Aldridge over the past ten years. Matt demonstrates many personal attributes that contribute to success on the ballpark. These include his wiliness to be open to coaches advice. Matt is very ˜coachable”, he brings a lot of enthusiasm to both the practice field and game days, Matt’s commitment and dedication to the game is evident as he is generally the first to practice and the last to leave, asking coaches for any extra advice to lead to improvements. Matt also has a commitment to his academics, as shown in his achievement of high grades. Matt has continued to grow into his body over the past two years, and has all the physical attributes to be successful at any level of baseball; I believe he will continue to grow into a strong young man with a great knowledge and understanding of the game.Presently his body fits the mold of an Outfielder as he possesses the ability to reads balls extremely well; takes charge in centerfield and his arm strength is second to none in Australia from the Outfield and continuing to improve. Matt is a guy that can and will hit for average and power who also has the ability to bunt for a base hit. He shows a good eye at the plate, and along with speed, has shown success as a 2 , 3,4 hitter. His speed has allowed him to become a constant threat on the base paths. With the above attributes, as well as the fact that Matt is a team player who will do anything for the sake of his team, his coaches and team mates, I have no hesitation in recommending Matt to any coach.
