Coach Richard Hofman

Richard Hofman is the winningest baseball coach in Florida history, obtaining ten State, and seven National Coach of the Year awards and boasting a record 10 state championships. He guided teams to five consecutive state titles from 1996 to 2000, captured two national championships, and had two other teams finish second in the national ranking. Baseball America named him Coach of the Decade for the 1990′s. Hofman grew up in Racine, Wisconsin, where he played Little League, Pony League and High School Baseball. He graduated from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he lettered his sophomore, junior and senior years. He was also the co-captain his junior year and captain his senior year. He is married to Jo Hofman and they have five children and seven grandchildren.
