| Kyle Carter came to Columbus High School already a very good ball player but he is even a better person. His resume as a Little League World Series player (hero) made him a target for so many skeptics in our area. The game of baseball comes easy for him but he is one of the hardest workers we have ever had in our program. His athleticism on the mound and at the plate has allowed him to be one of our best players ever. He has demolished about 95% of all our offensive records and shattered our career and season home run record last year as a Junior, passing three Major League players, including Frank Thomas, a future Hall of Famer. Kyle loves the game of baseball and he is one of the most competitive and mentally tough athletes that we have ever had but also so humble with all that he has accomplished. He is a baseball Rock Star in our community that always finds time to connect with and attract kids that come to our games and camps, no matter where we play. He is very coachable in that he is never afraid of the moment and plays to his strengths and whether on the mound or at the plate he has a competitive “chip” on his shoulder.
