PLAYER CHECK-IN – Hilton Hotel – Downtown Miami – 1601 Biscayne Blvd

The Hilton charges a $25.00 parking fee.
Park across the street at Burger King/ Checkers or one block away is a Publix grocery store – park in that lot or the rooftop parking.
However, DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CAR UNATTENDED OR IT WILL BE TOWED!
2:00pm to 9:00pm Player Check-in Hilton Hotel – Downtown Miami – 1601 Biscayne Blvd.
CONCERTO A Room
Players will receive their uniform (minus their jersey, which will be presented at the Welcome Dinner), and pick/choose their POWER SHOWCASE Home Run Derby batting order.
LATE ARRIVAL – For players that arrive after 9:00pm – your number will be picked and your uniform will be placed in your bag and will be waiting for you on Thursday morning in the Third Base Dugout.  A POWER SHOWCASE staff member will be available to assist.

MARLINS PARK:
Admission
  There is NO fee to enter Marlins Park
PARKING – There is minimal fee – make sure to bring your ticket with you into the stadium. There are several kiosks throughout where you can pay and validate. 
Food – Concessions will be closed – Coolers Food/Drinks are allowed – There is a Subway and Wendy’s close by. No Alcohol Allowed!
Entrance Daily – 7:30am – Players/Parents will enter through the First Base Entrance morning/day.
 

Thursday, December 27th – 12:00pm to 5:00pm – MLB Scout Day & Welcome Dinner 7:00pm to 10:00pm

LATE ARRIVAL – For players that arrive after 9:00pm – your number will be picked and your uniform will be placed in your bag and will be waiting for you on Wednesday morning in the THIRD BASE Dugout.  POWER SHOWCASE staff will be anticipating these players – Text/Call or look for Brandon Travis (239.677.6606) or Ricky De Armas (786.769.4239)

Player’s will check-in with their Head/Assistant Coach’s at the First Base Entrance (10 minutes before your scheduled meeting time) and walk together to your meeting areas. There will be visible signs and Marlins staff to help guide you to your designated locations.  
12:15pm to 12:45pm – Team Meetings – College American – Location: Visitors Clubhouse – Head Coach Doug Jennings

Friday, December 28th – HOME RUN DERBY – PRELIMINARY ROUND – 11:30am to 5:00pm.

FYI 
– The actual start time may vary slightly do the younger age group hitting beforehand.  The Home Run Derby will take place immediately following the first group.

POWER SHOWCASE TIMED FORMAT
Each player will receive a total of five and a half minutes, which will be broken into two rounds.
Three-Minutes with a wood bat
Thirty-Second Time Out / Break
Two-Minutes with a metal bat (BESR bats allowed)
 
The top two finalists will advance to the Championship Round on December 30th.
 
Introductions/National Anthem – Simply due to time constraints, we will not have individual introductions. There are 43 participants – 1 through 21 will line-up along the First baseline and 22 through 43 along Third.

WILDCARD – If a Player hits the furthest Home Run and does not finish in the top two, he will also advance to the finals on December 30th.
 
In case of a tie, the player with the most consecutive home runs will advance. If two or more players have the same number of consecutive home runs, a three-out swing off will take place.
 
BP Throwers – During the College Select Home Run Derby – Each participant can bring their own BP thrower for the competition. If he does not have one, we will have several professional throwers on hand.
 
FINALS: The top two finalists will advance to the Championship Round on December 30th and compete for the World Title – 2:00pm to 6:00pm.
Finalists will check-in with Jerry Gonzalez in the First Base Dugout at 1:30pm.

Saturday, December 29th – OFF  

 


Sunday, December 30th – Mental Strength Session, POWER SHOWCASE Finals & Game

OFFENSIVE MVP ANNOUNCED IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE GAME
Coaches, kindly have your three line-up cards filled out and ready to be handed in one hour before your scheduled game time. I recommend taking a picture and sending it to the Marlins Staff.
FYI – There is a three-run max or 25 pitch limit per-inning – Teams will simply switch.  The health/safety of the players in the number one concern.  Players will be rotated every inning, for fair and equal playing time.
