The event will be Streamed/Broadcast LIVE on the powershowcase.com Home page each and every day.

After each game a team & group photo will be taken – everyone must leave the field after this per Marlins Grounds Crew. No Loitering.

Wednesday, December 26th –

2:00pm to 9:00pm Player Check-in Hilton Hotel – Downtown Miami – 1601 Biscayne Blvd.  CONCERTO A Room

PLAYER CHECK-IN – Hilton Hotel – Downtown Miami – 1601 Biscayne Blvd
The Hilton charges a $25 parking fee. 

From lobby – take elevator 1 level up to Ballroom Level/Option.

Concerto A room is located straight ahead and to the left

Players will receive their uniform (minus their jersey, which they will receive at the Welcome dinner), and pick/choose their POWER SHOWCASE Home Run Derby batting order number.

LATE ARRIVAL – For players that arrive after 9:00pm – your number will be picked and your uniform will be placed in your bag and will be waiting for you on Wednesday morning in the First Base Dugout.  A POWER SHOWCASE staff member will be in the THIRD base waiting to assist.

FYI – PLAYERS ARE TO BRING THEIR EQUIPMENT (gloves/turfs/bat helmets/catchers gear) TO THE BALL PARK EVERY DAY, AS THEY WILL HAVE MANDATORY SHAGGING TIME SLOTS.

Also, parents and coaches, I strongly suggest a group text for communication and a daily meeting spot for player check-in.

Admission – There is NO fee to enter Marlins Park
Food – Concessions will be closed – Coolers Food/Drinks are allowed – No Alcohol Allowed! There is a Subway & Wendy’s within walking distance.
Entrance – Players/Parents will enter through the MEDIA ROOM Entrance morning/day.
Welcome Dinner – HOME PLATE ENTRANCE

NOTE: No seeds/gum/tobacco allowed on the field. (Dugout is fine)
If caught on the field, Player will be removed immediately per Marlins.


Thursday, December 27th

Saturday, December 29th

12U ROOKIES (FUTURE STARS) POWER SHOWCASE HOME RUN DERBY PRELIMINARY ROUND

During the preliminary round, each participant will receive 15 outs. The field dimension will be 225ft-225ft-225ft. The pitching machine will be set at a velocity of 50 mph from a distance of 50 feet.
The top two finalists will advance to the Championship Round on December 30th from 2:00pm to 6:00pm
*WILDCARD: If a Player hits the furthest Home Run and does not finish in the top two, then he will also advance to the finals.

Preliminary Round
7:30am to 7:45am – Players will Check-in with Coach Eddie & Jerry Gonzales at the First Base dugout.
8:00am to 8:15am – Player Introductions – After being announced, the first 4 home run derby participants will immediately head to the Visitors indoor cages to get warmed-up.
8:30am – National Anthem performed by Julian Priddy

8:30am – 8:45am – Last minute preparations

8:45am – Future Stars Rookies POWER SHOWCASE Preliminary Round Begins – It is MANDATORY that all players shagg and catchers catch during the derby.


Sunday, December 30th – Team Meeting – POWER SHOWCASE Finals – 2:00pm to 5:00pm. The actual starting time of finals may slightly.

1:30 pm – 12U Home Run Derby Finalists – You will meet Jerry or Eddie Gonzalez in the First Base dugout

Players will meet your Head Coach at the Media Entrance 10 minutes before your scheduled Team Meeting. You will walk as a team to the Visitors Clubhouse.

12:00pm to 12:30pm – Team Meeting – National League – Visitors Clubhouse – Coach Brian Mayer

12:30pm to 1:00pm – Team Meeting – American League – Media Room – Coach Jerry Gonzalez

2:00pm to 6:00pm – Mandatory Shagging – Catchers, bring your gear – FOUR-hour time-slot.

Coaches, you will escort your players down through the 1st base entrance. You will remain on the field with your players.

9:00am to 12:00pm (3 hour time limit)

OFFENSIVE MVP ANNOUNCED IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE GAME
Coaches, kindly have your line-up cards filled out and ready to be handed in one hour before your scheduled game time.  There is a three-run max per-inning. Teams will simply switch.  Players will be rotated every inning, for fair and equal playing time. I suggest posting an inning by inning positional line-up.

7:45am – Player/Team Check-in at your designated dugout
