Coach Ingram played high school baseball in Hallsville Texas where he was elected to the All East Texas Team in 1983 & 1984. He was elected to the Texas High School Coaches Association All Star game played at the Houston Astrodome his senior year. Coach Ingram then played Collegiate Baseball at McLennan Community College in Waco and Arizona State University. He pitched for the Sun Devils in the College World Series in 1987 & 1988. Linty led the nation in wins, was the PAC-10 Player of the year and an All American in 1988, he was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 12th round of the 1988 MLB Draft. Coach Ingram’s professional career was with the Detroit Tigers and the San Diego Padres organizations. Coach Ingram began his coaching career in 1992 at Letourneau University in Longview Texas where he worked with the infielders and pitchers. He then moved to Collin County Community College in 1993 where he worked with the pitchers for a season. Coach Ingram has been conducting private and group instruction since 1992. Through the years Coach Ingram has had a hand in developing many players who went on to play at the collegiate level and or were drafted in the Major League Baseball Draft. Currently Coach Ingram is the owner of Centerfield Academy and one of three Directors of the Academy Select Sun Devils Baseball Club where he is the Head Coach of  two teams, ages 12 & 16.
