Coach Miguel was born in Manhattan, N.Y. and raised in the Bronx. He attended high school in the Dominican Republic where he started to develop his love for the game.
Attended Bronx Community College where he was named as All-American in 1991 (baseball). Miguel also played (independent) professional baseball for two years in Illinois. He has been working at the Bucky Dent Baseball School in Delray Beach as an infield instructor since 1996.
Coach Miguel’s coaching career began as an assistant coach at Grandview Prep in Boca Raton, Fl. He has been the head Varsity baseball coach for Trinity Christian Academy since 2005. He has been named Coach of the Year (2005, 2007, 2008, 2009). Since being at Trinity 6 former graduating students have been drafted and many have been playing in (D1 & D2) schools.
Miguel also coaches the elementary team, in which he refers to as his “Minor Leagues”. “I try to teach the players a different level of baseball, much more than what you usually see at that age group.” He wants to help prepare them for college ball or pro ball in the future.
Coach Miguel is married to Lianny, they have 2 children, Maelanny and Elian, both of which attend Trinity.
