World Classic: Underclassmen  & International Participants

 
SUNDAY, December 27th
 – Arrival & Check-in 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Player Check-in Hilton Hotel – Downtown Miami – CONCERTO A Room
Player’s will receive their uniform and pick/choose their POWER SHOWCASE Home Run Derby batting order number. Player’s you will have 15 minutes (from 11:30am to 11:45am) on December 28th to eat something before Scout Day.

 
MONDAY, December 28th
 – MLB Scout Day 8:45am to 5:00pm & Welcome Dinner from 7:00pm to 10:00pm

Additional notes: IMPORTANT!! 
Again, player’s you will have 15 minutes (from 11:30am to 11:45am) to eat something before Scout Day.  It is strongly suggested that you eat a large breakfast and bring food/snacks (in your bag) or have your parents retrieve food for you. The days are long and your schedule is full with only a few moderate breaks.
9:45am – Player Check-in is at the Diamond Club Lounge Entrance with your Head Coach’s – Alejandro Machado and Todd Fitz-Gerald. Once checked-in – you will head to your designated meeting location.
Team Meetings
10:00am to 10:45am – TEAM MEETING – World Classic – AL Roster ~ Location – Diamond Club Lounge
10:00am to 10:45am –  TEAM MEETING World Classic – NL Roster ~ Location – Trainer’s Room – Visitors Club House
Once your team meetings have concluded, you will head to the Media Room for your mental strength session with Michael Cooper.
10:45am to 11:30am – Both teams will attend their Mental Strength Session with Michael Cooper – Human Performance Mentors – Location:  Marlins Media Room. From here, player’s will go directly to the third base dugout and check-in for Scout Day.  You will have roughly 15 minutes to eat a snack before Scout Day begins.
MLB Scout Day begins 12:00pm to 5:00pm
Player’s will meet in the third base dugout at 11:45am DO NOT BE LATE
12:00pm to 12:15pm – Scout Speech Introduction
12:15pm to 5:00pm – Scout Day Begins

7:00pm to 10:00pm – Welcome Dinner

TUESDAY, December 29th – OFF


Wednesday, December 30th
:  Meetings & 
POWER SHOWCASE Home Run Derby

10:30am  Player Check-in Marlins Media Room

10:30am to 11:15am – Michael Cooper – Human Performance Mentors
11:15am to 11:30pm – STAY IN THE MEDIA ROOM FOR THE POWER SHOWCASE  CHECK IN WITH COACH EDDIE OR JERRY GONZALES.
The top three finalists from the underclass and featured division will advance to the Finals.
NOTICE: No Cleats in Visitors batting cage – Turfs Only!
DO NOT BE LATE!!!
During the preliminary round each participant will receive 20 outs – 5 with wood and 15 with metal – bat of their choice.  The pitching machine will be set at a velocity of 62 mph from a distance of 54 feet.
*WILDCARDIf a player hits the furthest Home Run and does not finish in the top three, then he will also advance to the finals.
11:00am to 11:30am – Player check-in for POWER SHOWCASE preliminary Round will be located at the Marlins Media Room with Coach Eddie or Jerry Gonzales – Bring your gloves and catchers bring your gear!!  After all participants have been checked-in, they will head to the third base dugout and then to the outfield to shagg until their event officially begins.
PLEASE keep in mind that the actual starting time may vary slightly depending on the number of home runs hit by the earlier group.

12:35pm to 12:40pm – National Anthem performed by Meghan Ritmiller
12:45pm – POWER SHOWCASE Home Run Derby Begins

6:00pm to 6:30pm – Player/Team Check-in at your pre-game location – (NL) Media Room & (AL) Visitors Club House. From there, go watch the All-American Game.
7:15pm – 7:30pm – Player’s get loose
AL – Home – First Base Dugout – Head Coach Alejandro Machado – Hand in line-up cards
NL – Visitor – Third Base Dugout – Head Coach Todd Fitzgerald – Hand in line-up cards

7:30pm to 7:35pm – Home plate meeting Coaches & Umpires
