Player’s will receive their uniform and pick/choose their POWER SHOWCASE Home Run Derby batting order.
Additional notes: IMPORTANT!! Player’s you will have 45 minutes (from 11:00am to 11:45am) on December 28th to eat something before Scout Day. Please bring food/snacks (in your bag) or have your parents retrieve food for you. It is strongly recommended that you eat a hardy breakfast everyday and bring snacks with you. The days are long and your schedule is full with only a few moderate breaks.
MONDAY, December 28th – Meeting and Scout Day 8:45am to 5:00pm & Welcome Dinner 7:00pm to 10:00pm
8:45am – Player Check-in at the Diamond Club Lounge Entrance with your Head Coach’s – Doug Jennings and Ray DeLeon. From here, both teams will go to the Marlins Media Room.
9:00am to 9:45pm – Mental strength session with Michael Cooper.
10:00am to 10:45am – TEAM MEETING East Roster ~ Location – 1st Base Dugout Club
10:00am to 10:45am – TEAM MEETING West Roster ~ Location – Visitors Club House
10:45am to 11:45am – Lunch – have your parents bring food in – stay at the stadium. There is a Subway and Wendy’s near the parking garage.
MLB Scout Day begins 12:00pm to 5:00pm

The top three finalists from both the Underclass and Featured division will advance to the Finals on Saturday, January 2nd.
*WILDCARD: If a player hits the furthest Home Run and does not finish in the top four, then he will also advance to the finals.
During the preliminary round each participant will receive 20 outs – 5 with wood and 15 with metal – bat of their choice. The pitching machine will be set at a velocity of 62 mph from a distance of 54 feet.
11:15am to 11:30am – Player check-in for POWER SHOWCASE Preliminary Round will be located at the Marlins Media Room with Coach Eddie or Jerry Gonzales – Bring your gloves and catchers bring your gear!! After all participants have been checked-in, they will head to the third base dugout and then to the outfield to shagg until their event officially begins.
PLEASE keep in mind that the actual starting time may vary slightly depending on the number of home runs hit by the earlier group.
